The pier is an icon of the Great British summer holiday of yesteryear. A place to be marvelled at as it stretches out into the sea with it's gaudy amusement arcades, bars and candy floss huts. If you went to the seaside on holiday you could always judge how good a place it was by the size and the excitement of it's pier!
