Rodney is Closing

Rodney School is finally closing. The school has already begun to wind up, with a handful of students remaining until early 2006. There is a last event in the school on December 3rd at 7.30 through till midnight. For most of us this will be the last chance to tiptoe the corridoors of Rodney as a school. The old building is up for sale, so if you're rich and loved the place...
If you want to attend the event get in touch with Linda at Rodney asap. The cost is £20. Hopefully some persons from my generation will be there 84-89.

Very nostalgic

I intend to be at the xmas ball, wouldn't miss a last chance to go back. Would be good to see some of the old crowd there, anyone going from the 93-98 period? Tom V

Wot a great night!!! Back with the old boys of '89 again - priceless.. 16 years since we've seen each other and we still acted like idiots, like the day we left school. And what a bonus - i got to share a dorm with them all at the Sarason's Head in Southwell. The lucky 5 were me (still looking good) Clark, Lee 'no hair' Jackson, Jon Bailey Esq (Lord of the Manor), Chris ' The Marine' Murphy and Guy 'I still look 15 and now i'm paid to wash men's bits' Massey . Congrats to Lee who won the 2005 ' Al Murrey' lookalike competition. Great weekend, great memories. Cant put alot of the nights memories on here, as irt may be frowned upon!

Rodney is closing in June 2006

The old place is shutting it doors for the last time in June 2006.
Mike Glencross was good enough to come and see me today. We decided to make one last trip to go and have a look at our old stomping ground.
We expected the place to be deserted but there are still one or two souls working (?!) there.
Whilst we were there we spoke to Rosanna Howe, who told us that there will be one final re-union sometime in June.
I might even make it this time!
I'll even behave myself!

Hi does anyone know if it has actually closed yet? I want to go back but I'm going on hols on 30th June???
