A contrast to the stadium complex, and the numerous large office blocks that have materialised over the past twenty years, particularly along Empire Way, the road swings to rise up to the Wembley Park Underground Station of 1923. The attractive domestic-scale shops look even better when compared to the intrusive, faceless Columbus Dixon office block.
The Wimpy was our regular haunt, the Jewish bloke who owned it was a good bloke, he would let us stay with just a cup of coffe for hours or until it got busy and he needed the tables, then he would ask us nicely to leave

Opposite the TV Studios where Top of the Pops came from..

Remember the studios well it was "Ready Steady Go" not Top of the Pops though
