Remember getting sherbert fountains at the sweet shop and sucking the acidic sherbert up through the licorice pipe. Bought one for my daughter years later but she hated it!

one of my favourites also, my kids thought they were okay but my grandchildren did not like them, I don;t know why not!!!!

Loved these as a kid. Bought one recently only to find that the liqorice no longer has a hole to suck up the sherbert. That was half the fun choking on a cloud of sherbert dust. Poxy health and safety rubbish.

sometimes the straw got clogged up so got an extra hard suck: bang! explosion! sneezes, coughs and splutters...but what fun!

my friend and i used to go to a lovely little sweet shop, with a threpenny bit, and came out with a bag full of sweets including a sherbet fountain. happy days
