In 1944 the School was still evacuated to Stafford where we used the Girls High school on Saturdays. Tuesdays to Fridays we went to a Baswich/ House on the outskirts of the city. We had Mondays as our free day. We returned in 1945 to a bomb damaged school with only small fires for heating in the classrooms anf no functioning kitchens. We had to walk to another school to eat our packed lunches. Those girls who had passed the Scholarship but had not gone to Stafford were permitted to join the school on its return to Ramsgate and so our numbers increased to a two form entry.
