Scoil Mhuire was founded twenty four years ago. Since then, it has grown to become two schools catering for boys and girls from junior infants to second class in on school and third to sixth classes in the senior school. There are currently 450 children on roll in classes of an average size of 29. Children enroll in the school from the Ballymany and outling areas. The school prides itself on its high standards of care and education for children. There are the visible success in the Cunnann na mBunscol competitions, the school quizzes, the scholarship examinations and the performing arts. Aims of the Scoil Mhuire Soisearach. * To recognise and foster the social intellectual, emotional and spiritual potential of each child who attends the school. * To make scoil Mhuire a place where children feel safe, secure, empowered and aware of their environment. * To provide an environment which is happy and fullfilling for children and staff * To nurture the potemtial of each child to become a fully developed individual. * To foster a school ethos which is catholic and which develops an awareness and respect for other denominations and beliefs.
