APRIL 14th: On this day in 1912, the Atlantic passenger liner Titanic, hailed as the 'unsinkable ship', struck an iceberg and sank, resulting in the loss of more than 1,500 lives. c15/4/1912: The scene inside Oceanic House, London, after the news of the 'Titanic' disaster. The White Star liner 'Titanic' sank on her maiden voyage on the night of the 14/15th April 1912, after hitting an iceberg near Newfoundland. 1513 lives were lost.
