Hi steve,yes i worked there in 1970,worked in the beachcomber,and then on the queens bar,i was a supervisor blue jacket on the queens,enjoyed the season,so if you where there in 1970 we probably crossed on another somewhere.

I was at Ayr in 1969 and Pwllheli in 1970. I remember Eddie Edwards the sous chef, Billy Monks and his wife Eileen. and others Used to love the Beach Comber Bar in Ayr and the market in Pwllheli. went to the Wales one last year, very sad now and far too commercialised. more interested in selling caravans or getting you to spend money on slot machines. no fairground. no skating, no train, no chair lifts. No outdoor pool
