Bootles is where the old Boots used to be and they used to do wonderful Hot Chocolate with loads of whipped cream on top.

The Continental cinema generally showed "adult" films" but during the school holidays Harry Mears, the owner screened Walt Disney - i remember going there to see Bambi, amongst others!

Only time I ever went there was with my parents to see a film of England wnning the 1966 football World Cup because we didn't have a television!
