Brian Clough 1958

Brian Clough, who was appointed to captain Middlesbrough in the 1958 season. Clough made his League debut with Middlesbrough in the 1955-56 season though, owing to injury, was unable to make many appearances. 20/09/04: The former Nottingham Forest and Derby County manager has died. A hospital spokeswoman said Clough, who was 69, had been suffering from stomach cancer.
