Mr Hempleman-Adams plans to fly a balloon over 29,000ft-high Mount Everest in Nepal to help raise awareness of the Trust. Miss Seymour, who decided not to fly in a balloon at the event because of a back injury, said: "I am hoping our coming here today will bring recognition and funds to the right place." Flights scheduled to take place were scrapped after rain was forecast. Balloonists were hoping to fly at a later slot at sunset and were predicting better weather conditions.
