I also had one of these, 1965 2.5 model, fabulous car at the time and still look good now.

A 2.8 sporting saloon, superb car. I was lent one, brand new, to take 2 girls (lucky chap, eh?) down to Sitges in Spain. It was great fun crossing the Pyrenees by moonlight, the roadholding outstanding for a relatively heavy saloon car. A bit underpowered; the car would have been a 3.8 but the insurance company refused as I was under 25.
