wonderful times when i was a kid with my mates going to belle vue and to the speedway i lived close by in longsight and then west gorton

I definitely remember this as a 5 year old. That's Bob's Coaster in the background. Spent many hours in Belle Vue with my dad. He loved the big cats!

I worked in the offices at Belle Vue in the 60s and have such happy memories.

I remember a friend riding the bobs for 24 hours for a charity fund raiser in 1985. But it wasn't called the bobs then. I think it had been changed to the big dipper.

why they closed it down is behond me.. what have we there now.. curry place never used! and a picture house. and a big empty car park... manchester was robbed of having its own blackpool....
