Despite the lack of beefburgers on the menu, the Marble Arch branch of McDonald's continued to sell the rest of their menu this afternoon (Sunday). The company have announced a ban on British beef but have said they will return to using the domestic product as soon as consumer confidence in it returns. The move comes following the Government's announcement last week that there may be a connection between BSE (Mad Cow Disease) and the human equivalent. 09/03/2004 The Fast food giant unveiled what it described as the biggest change to its menu since arriving in the UK 30 years ago, Tuesday March 9, 2004. The company is introducing meal-size salads, a side salad, fresh apples and a burger made from the meat substitute Quorn.
