Buddy Holly 1958

American rock and roll singer Buddy Holly, on stage at the Ritz Theatre, Wigan. Buddy Holly was killed – along with the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens – on February 3, 1959 in a plane crash. The day has come to be known as the day the music died, and inspired Don McLean's hit song American Pie.
