The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh (beneath the canopy) on the steps of the restored Guildhall at Portsmouth during the opening ceremony. The Guildhall, destroyed in an air raid of the Second World War, was rebuilt in the shell of the old building.

Remember the day very well, I was in the Army Cadets and am standing on the steps to the right of the picture.
