The charm of Maidstone's Undercliffe is reflected in the quiet waters of the River Medway. In the distance the ancient Archbishop's Palace lies in the shadow of All Saint's Church, a fine example of perpendicular architecture.

Just to the right of the large warehouse was the boatyard where rowing boats etc were available for hire.

Shame the building on the left has been demolished. It looks like it had some character but, no doubt, didn't fall in line with the town's idea of "streamlining".
