The view of the Queen Elizabeth Great Court looking north at the British Museum. The court, which has been part-funded by the Millennium Commission, will be opened by the Queen on 6/12/00 and will be open to the public on the following day. It has been designed to create a new heart for the museum and to provide desperately-needed space.
