I loved Bunty magazine as a child. However, it was the earlier version, c 1963. The little cut out dolls on the back page especially. I had a chocolate box full of them, all sorts, Bunty's plus other cut out dolls my mum bought me in Connollys Lisburn. Remember Connollys? They had all the wonderful Enid Blyton books too. Years later, as a 40 something, I collected vintage cut out dolls from around the globe - thanks to Ebay. Never came across an uncut Bunty though.

Gosh this is a blast from the past. I used to get the comic, can remember the name but nothing else about it.

Mu mum would take me to the newsagents every week to buy the Bunty and the Judy comics and a packet of chocolate buttons. Then home to lie on my bed and read both all the way through.

In the early 60's, I also used to get Bunty, Judy and School Friend which my Mum used to hide until I had done my chores for the day - only thing was, she used to hide them in the same place all the time (under a cushion on the couch) so I could sometimes sneak a look! Lovely memories of an innocent age!

I remember Bunty from the late 50s and early 60s, Judy too. They were delivered by the newsagent with the morning paper but I couldn't read them until I came home from school. I can still remember the sheer joy of coming home from a holiday in Wales and having two weeks of them waiting for me!
