I worked at Butlins Clacton the year it closed 1983 for five weeks. I worked in a Cafeteria and we were called Jaffers because our uniform were orange with brown pipping,it did nothing for the figure.All the girls also had to live in a block of rooms with no boys allowed, if caught you would be sacked. It also had a security guard . The boys were fine though they had their own chalets.How old fashioned was that.
