Superb footage, the year I last stayed at Butlin's Filey with my parents ,aged just 14. I still have a small 'silvered' medal (in it's orig. cellophane packet) given to me by a 'Red-coat' after playing in a basketball game. We visited both Filey and Skegness for our annual holidays during my early childhood. The clever use of 'new' Art-deco architecture within the camps was a 'fantasy' backdrop to post WWII visitors, who had previously only seen such buildings in Hollywood movies

I lived in Muston Road, Filey, from 1958 to early 1964, with my father, Tony Watson, Shops & Bars Manager at Filey, mother Gerda, & brother Mike. Ithen went to Bognor Regis to work at Butlins Divisional Head Office. Will put some photos on in due course.
