Perhaps not on a par with the great Suffolk wool churches, Great St Mary's, overlooking the Market Place, is none the less an impressive piece of Perpendicular architecture. Many great clerics have preached here, including Latimer, Ridley and Cranmer.
I was a boy chorister at Great St Mary`s 1946 to 1951 ,becoming head chorister in 1950.The choir master was Mr Fenn,a wonderful man ,and very gifted organist The experience will be forever with me.
