e - Battersea, where it was wound down and finally closed in the early nineties. Other teachers left, and a handful stayed on at the new college(See below). When the school moved to Battersea the buildings on the site became St Frances Xavier Sixth Form College, Malwood Road, this subsequently become St Francis Xavier FE College, Malwood Road, where it remains. Only a lucky few of us can claim to have been in Clapham College, School for Boys alone alone, and not one of it's predecessors or descendants. Errors all my own,IMR - 12/3/2001 (Potted history dedicated to every single person in my academic career, who claimed that my appalling handwriting & spelling, which I still posses, would lead to me 'amounting to nothing'. Who could have forseen word processors and spell checkers!!.)
