The Cleveland School of Radiography is alive and well living at Teesside University. We have celebrated our 10th cohort of BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography graduates in 2002. Formerly the Middlesbrough & District Hospitals School of Radiography. It was located at North Ormesby Hospital (now no longer there!) and the Teacher Principal was Miss Maggie Wightman who retired at Christmas time in 1977 (along with her poodle) Miss Bailey took over then and the other teachers were Ann Whiteford, Ann McElhone, Mr Hirst who did Equipment (supt at Darlington), Dr (sorry, forgot his name - a Radiologist) who took physics and kept falling off the raised platform in front of the blackboard. Those were the days.....
