I was in bed at the time and my bed shook . The next morning I passed over that bridge on my way to school . the helicopter was overhead and I was way too young to understand the significance of the tragedy

When I joined the Fire Brigade in 1982,my Officer in Charge was the first Fire Brigade Officer to arrive at this incident. A fantastic bloke and a great boss.
