PLEASE NOTE: WESTERN MAIL, CARDIFF OUT. Holyhead Port's pilot boat makes its way through the beefburger boxes dumped into the water this morning (Monday) by farmers protesting at cheap beef imports from Ireland. The unannounced blockade was begun at the Anglesey port yesterday by 400 farmer using dozens of vehicles. The action was intially peaceful and good humoured but was later broken by some in the crowd who opted for more militant tactics, breaking open a trapped lorry and emptying its load of 40 tonnes of fresh beef burgers off the dock and into the sea. See PA story FARMING Blockade.
