From drought to flood, the Water Industry seems to move from one extreme to another as this village of Appleton Roebuck near York had to call in the Waterboard after four inches of rain fell in thirty hours flooding parts of the village today (Fri).
I remember being the first owner of West End House in Appleton Roebuck (house in right side of picture) and bought it from the builder - Heatherdale Homes. I was living there in 1995 but strangely enough I do not remember this flood? Luckily I must have been away on Holiday at the time and missed it.
