A view of the Magazine Room corridor which is undergoing restoration due to the water leakage. The ammunition would have been passed out through metal hatches to those in the courtyard. Due to the risk of explosion from gunpowder, strict rules were set for insde this area. e.g. felt slippers were used instead of hobnailed boots.
