Going shopping with me mam on Saturdays and eating fish and chips from Bob Carvers in a tent in the market.

I remember it been really hot in the tent , and the chips were mushy

And they became the most popular cips in Hull, myself I think it was because they used to fry in Oil which caused the fabulous smell to waft around the town. Alsoa favourite at Hull Fair time too.
Not so good today though IMO.
