yes, I agree with Christine - I used to love going there with my dad in the 50s when I was a child and after going back to see it in recent years find it very sad to see the huge change

i loved petticoat lane my Dad used to take me every sunday when i was little used to buy little chickens and i could always remember Prince Monalulu shouting out "ive got a tip" good old days

I have fond memories of Petticoat lane. my Nan had a stall there and sold tea towels,socks,Handkerchiefs, she could sure tell the punters where to go.
Often thinking of dear old Annie and her big rosy cheeks and smile.

Bought my first tea set from there on the stall where the bloke used to throw all the china up in the air!! How he used to catch it all without it all getting chipped is a mystery! I've still got a couple of plate's and that was back in 1977, the lasy jubilee,

I bought my first party dress from here (1952) it was a ghastly yellow and black and I thought I looked gorgeous!!! I worked in Bishopsgate and loved browsing the stalls.
