In the 50's my brother used to have to take me to this cinema; he was 5 years older and his ilk used to buy stink bombs from the joke shop across the road and these used to go off at half time! There used to be skiffle groups playing at half time too! Live music - that's how Tommy Steel started out and I may well have seen him there!
