In university hol. time I worked in Woolworth´s, Piccadilly - hard work too!!

Oh funny, I worked at the same Woolworths, only during the Christmas hols. At the age of 16, I was put on the Christmas Card Counter, ON MY OWN!!!!! Worst experience ever, I walked out in tears. Strange the things we remember.

I don't remember Paulden's! I worked on Newton Street 1966

I worked at the Irish Linen shop 1954, 1st job quite daunting.

I worked at Lewis's on Saturdays and holidays in 1965-66.

My sister Pauline Herbert worked at pauldens I remember going in to see her and I thought it was really posh and had carpet on the floor that my sister worked on.

Remember being taken to Lewis's every Christmas to see father Christmas. Maybe a trick of the memory bit I seem to remember a pithead before the plaza was built.
