Marc Bolan 1977

Marc Bolan, lead singer of T. Rex, at the Born to Boogie film premiere which he starred in with Ringo Starr. Two weeks before his 30th birthday he was being driven home by his girlfriend, singer Gloria Jones, when she lost control of the car and it crashed, killing Bolan and injuring her. It is thought low tyre pressure contributed to the accident. T. Rex member Steve Curry also died in a car crash four years later.
