Comedienne Marti Caine. 25/1/95: Caine has been fighting a brave seven-year battle against cancer. The 50-year-old star has been admitted to Bart's Hospital in London. 25/3/01: Caine, has had a plaque unveiled in the foyer of the BBC TV centre. * in a ceremony in honour of some of the great names in British comedy. Others honoured were Willy Rushden, Paul Eddington CBE Wilfred Bramble and Harry H Corbett, with an associated television tribute to be screened on BBC television.

Marti Caine she was great.Remember reading her life story when she was fighting cancer.
was very sad when she died.

I remember seeing her on Opportunity Knocks. She was seated, singing a song when the stool 'sprang' up and threw her onto the floor. She then got up and continued with a comedy routine. I guess that was her big break.
