Motor Racing - 500 Miles Race - Brooklands 1932

British racing driver Clive Dunfee in the "Old Number One" Speed Six Bentley, with a brand new 8-litre engine installed. Clive took over from his older brother Jack and the photograph shows him about to set off on lap five. He was killed several laps later when thrown from his car after he lost control on the lip and crashed into a tree over the other side of the banking. The owner, Woolf Barnato is seen third from left.
