Nursing - World's Fastest Bed-Makers 1978

Taking a well earned rest on a newly made bed at Cambridge's Addenbrooke Hospital are four nursing sister's whose speedy work entitles them to a place in the Guiness Book of Records. The sister's from left, Rith Jameson, 29, Jean Lees, 28, Elizabeth Redfern, 25, and Susan Bendall, 24, were challenging the world record for the number of beds that can be made in 30 minutes. They stripped and made 66 beds in half an hour flat, beating the previous record by 35. They also established a completly new record of 42.5 seconds for both stripping and making a bed. Their efforts raised more than 600 for cancer research.
