My friend and I visited snowbound Matlock, so strangely silent along Cavendish Road that early Saturday evening - no traffic moving; no students... We stopped outside what was Reg Fielding's house - deserted, empty and for sale - so poignant - Remembering the end of my first term at Matlock College - and Reg invited us round to his house, to partake in the punch bowl. Happy days.
