Duran Duran 1985

Duran Duran (From left): Roger Taylor, Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes promoting their James Bond Movie song, A View to a Kill. In their early years, the band played regularly at Rum Runner nightclub. Nearby club Barbarella's was known for having had the The Sex Pistols and The Clash play, and so the band went on to name themselves Duran Duran after the villain Dr Durand Durand from sci-fi movie Barbarella.
