Members of the anti-Common Market organisations accompanied Air Vice-Marshall Donald Bennett when he laid the wreath at the Cenotaph. A label asks in bold lettering "They died in vain?" it was laid at the crack of dawn, long before the Queen arrived for the official celebration.
