Portrush, the Railway Station 1897

The railway reached Portrush with the construction of a short branch line from Coleraine on the Belfast to Londonderry line. The station was extensively remodelled in 1893, just four years before this picture was taken. The electric railway to the Giant's Causeway started from outside the front of the station.
