The Crown Agents Stamp Bureau released these stamps to commemorate the wedding of Prince Edward, the youngest son of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, to Sophie Rhys-Jones. Eight United Kingdom Overseas Territories and Commonwealth countries (the Ascension Islands, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, the Falkland Islands, the Pitcairn Islands, St Helena, Samoa and Tristan da Cunha) issued two single stamps, designed by Derek Miller, that featured the couple.
