Recovered: Playing Cards 1998

Three playing cards, with the distinctive White Star Line logo, which were taken from the Titanic by a first class passenger as he escaped from the sinking ship. The cards, which were pocketed by bridge-player French pioneer pilot Pierre Marechal as he rushed to a lifeboat, are expected to fetch £25,000 to £30,000 at a Sotheby's Marine Sale.
