Reg Harris, Champion Cyclist, 1949. Despite serious injuries following a crash involving his car and two lorries, Reg not only staged a remarkable recovery but also went on to win the World Professional Sprint Championships in Copenhagen. He dominated cycle sport in the 1950s on his steel racing bike.
