nd a hall, are centred on the ancient buildings of the Old Priory. The houses, and numerous other buildings, have grown within the village around the original site. The school has about 550 pupils in ten houses, three of which have been purpose-built to accommodate girls. The school is primarily a boarding school and, while not offering weekly boarding, the system of leave-out weekends offers the flexibility in boarding which many parents seek while maintaining the full programme of activities wanted by others, particularly those living at some distance from the school. Each house also has some day pupils who all take a full part in school life . Primarily, the school boasts a fine academic record but it is also very active in the arts, in games, and other leisure activities.
