I remember Wrights department store on the left of this picture. There was a big white horse upstairs that I used to ride on.....I didn't realise it at the time but I think my mum must have put money in it to make it rock. I loved that horse.

I remember Lyons corner shop just before the lyons delivery van not in the pitcure.

I also remember Wrights department store, and Lyons, but I certainly do not remember this scene, it must have been beautified since I was a child .... of course that was quite a while ago ..... during the 50's. :)

I also remember Wrights, Goslings and Kempthorns (?). In the forefront of this picture are the public Loos only Gents if I remember rightly. Lyons was a treat after shopping with my grannie. Towards the top of this road on the right hand side was the tiniest toy shop
