The Stadium will host the Rugby World Cup final between Australia and France. * 4/1/2001 :Millennium Stadium in Cardiff which is being unveiled as the venue for this season's FA Cup final and Worthington Cup final Thursday 4 January 2001. The Football Association and Football League have agreed three-year deals with officials at the Welsh stadium while Wembley is being renovated. The ground will, therefore, also play host to the Charity Shield and the Nationwide League play-offs until the new Wembley has been finished in May 2004 at the earliest. 12/05/01 The Stadium will host the FA Cup final between Arsenal and Liverpool. *120801....an aerial view of the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The Stadium will be the venue for the Charity Shield final, and following heavy rain, it has been decided to play the final, between Manchester United and Liverpool, with the stadiums retractable roof in it's closed position.
