Saturday Night Fever by Various Artists 1977

The soundtrack to the film, made up almost entirely of Bee Gees hits (sung or written by them), rode the number one spot in the US album charts for an incredible 24 weeks in 1978. It epitomised the disco generation, and still has everyone getting up to strut their stuff on the dancefloor decades later.

To date it remains the 7th biggest selling album of all-time, with over 40 million record sales.
