Professor Chris Stringer, Principal Researcher in Human Origins, examines the skull of a Neanderthal woman, found in Gibraltar in 1848, which is currently housed in the Natural History Museum in London. The skull, which represents one of the best preserved examples of this early human species, will temporarily be returned home for a special exhibition at the Gibraltar Museum to mark the 150th anniversary of its discovery.
