The Spanish fishermen would trade blocks of crude chocolate for one Players navy cut cigarette as British ciggies were way superior to the Spanish ones. They would empty mackeral onto the quayside for people to take for free. They gave my father a string of those glass balls hanging up for his window display at his store.
