Emlyn Hughes, 22 year old Liverpool defender, who is named in England's World Cup squad for Mexico this summer. He was born at Barrow-in-Furness and joined the Merseysiders from Blackpool. *17/11/04: Football legends and former team-mates of Emlyn Hughes will join hundreds of mourners at the funeral of the Liverpool and England star. Hughes, 57, died from a brain tumour at his home in Sheffield a week ago.
